How Do I Get Someone To Quit Smoking?

2 of my bosses/friends smoke and as new years resolution they said that they would try to quit smoking. it doesn’t seem to me that they are trying very hard and they are definitely not succeeding. what are some things i can do to help them and motivate them to quit?

  1. If they really wants to quit smoking, take a look at http://stopsmoking.eu.pn/
Is designed for everyone who seriously wants to stop smoking.
This site tackles smoking from an addiction perspective; It doesn’t matter if they are a five a day teenager, or a one hundred a day pensioner, male or female, or if this is the first or fiftieth attempt at stopping, if they follows all instructions, certainly they’ll become non-smokers.

  2. Quitting is a bad word to use. Do you put on makeup everyday? Try quitting that. Help them by getting them to accept that they need to make a change.
Have them look into the electronic cigarette. It isn’t a proven quit smoking method, however, it can definitely get them off of the tobacco cigarettes.
The electronic cigarette offers the same look and actions as a real cigarette, but as it does not contain tobacco, it produces no second hand smoke and does not include the additives or carcinogens.

  3. I was fortunately able to quit cold turkey. I would highly recommend NOT using patches or other cigarette suppressants, as these only delay the process and continue to pump nicotine into your system.
It’s not about will power, that’s a myth. It’s about holding yourself accountable and following through. One place that helped me immensely was: http://www.totallyquit.com/howtoquit.htm… It showed me that there are other tools out there accessible to everyone, besides excuses and marketing gimmicks.
Don’t just quit smoking as a New Year’s resolution. Quit smoking for your YOU! and your health, family, employees, colleges, teachers, students, Etc… And remember, there are many excuses but only one answer…QUIT!
    Here’s to your success!

  4. I know some excellent web sites that
    address this question try:

  5. It’s their call, not yours. If they truly want to quit, by all means be supportive. But unless they’ve given you control over their lifestyle, you’ll likely remain friends longer if you simply stay out of it.

  6. On cigarette breaks ask them to go for a walk with you.
When seeing them get ready to light up a cigarette offer some hard tack candy, fruit, vegetables, etc..
    Be as supportive as possible

  7. first important step – stop buying them.
if you haven`t got any, you cant smoke them.
friends will soon stop giving you one when they realize they are not going to get one back in return.

  8. buy chewing gum.chewing gum will keep our mouth busy
