What Exactly Does The New Tobacco Law Do?

I saw on television that Obama signed a new tobacco bill yesterday.
What does this new law do?
Also, will flavored cigars be affected?

It limits advertisements near child populated areas (ie: schools, playgrounds…etc) And it also prevents tobacco companies to produce flavored cigarettes.

It allows the FDA to regulate the amount of tobacco put in a cigarette.
It keeps tobacco companies from being able to advertise a certain amount of feet to a school (not sure how many).
And it’s supposed to make it where they are not allowed to target children in advertisement, like commercials and stuff with their bull crap about flavored cigarettes….
That’s the basis of it..
Basically less tobacco in cigarettes and less advertisement for children.

The Food and Drug Administration is going to be in charge of tobacco in the same way they monitor food and drugs. This means that there will be a warning explaining the effects of tobacco covering 1/2 the cigarette package. Also tobacco companies will no longer be able to use “lite” or market to children such as some of the flavorings. The tobacco companies also have to report all ingredients including quantities to the FDA for regulation.
