Why Is Cigarette Tobacco Bad For You? Is There A Way To Stop Smoking?

When you smoke, all the tobacco goes up in smoke. The tobacco is burnt away leaving ashes. Doesn’t the fire of a cigerette kill those harmful chemicals, germs, & bacteria? Is there a way to successfully stop besides not starting in the first place?

  1. A few of the dangerous chemicals in tobacco smoke that can affect you and your children
    Chemical Description
    4-aminobiphenyl…. Promotes liver/bladder cancer
Ethyl 2-furoate… A liver poison, considered for use as a chemical warfare agent
Hydrogen Cyanide. A poison used in gas chambers, responsible for paralysing and killing the cilia in lung airways
Arsenic……………….. A poison used to kill rats
Formaldehyde………. Used to preserve dead bodies
Carbon Monoxide… Replaces the oxygen in red blood cells can mimic anaemia
Ammonia…………….. An irritant and poison used to help vaporize nicotine so it can be easily inhaled
    Nickel………………..… An organ specific carcinogen
    Naphythlamine…A bladder carcinogen
    Toluidine…………….. A bladder carcinogen
    Benzo (a) pyrene… A cancer promoter
Acetylene……………. Used for fuel in welding torches
    Cadmium…………….. Used in rechargeable batteries
Benzene………………. Used as an industrial solvent

  2. the fire will not kill the chemicals- however, it may kill some of the bacteria, and a little bit of germs, but it will NEVER kill it all. Besides, the cigarette fire really is not hot, big or open enough to kill those things to the point where it will do no harm. The best way to stop would probably be …
Step 1: start to smoke less- it will make it less addictive.
Step 2: try to stop buying cigarettes- if it helps, ask someone to shop for you.
Step 3: If this does not help, ask a doctor what medication- or something- will help.

  3. Next time you smoke, or have a friend smoke, ask them to take a puff and then blow it out through a kleenex. Just one exhalation leaves a dirty smudge on the kleenex. Now, imagine if this is what is coming out, WHAT is going in!
Smoke is not visible harmless gas. It is actually made up of tiny pieces, called “particulate matter”. The pieces are so small you would need a micro scope to see them clearly, but there are so many of them in a cloud of smoke that you can see them all as a hazy cloud. The particulate matter from a cigarette contains tiny pieces of actual tobbaco leaf, minute ashes from the burning paper, and a toxic chemical cloud. The chemical vapors from a cigarette contain about 5000 different chemicals, including lead, arsenic, phosphorus, and many others. The smoke also contains aresolized tar, which is remnants of the burned plant resins.
It’s not germs or bacteria in a cig that causes problems (like you said, they would be incinerated anyway). It’s the chemicals that slowly kill you. You wouldn’t inhale smoke from a house fire, would you? A cigarette is only a little less toxic.
Filters help catch some of the bad stuff, but not enough to make it healthier than non-filter cigs.
To succesfully stop, you have to WANT to. Additional aids really come in handy, like the patch, nicotine gum, or I think there are pills that a doctor can prescribe to help with withdrawl too.

  4. Everything in excess is bad for you!, food, alcohol, tobacco. There’s people that die of lung cancer without ever smoking 1 cigarrete in their entire life! So my theory is that when its time to go then its time to go. Simple
Nicotine is very addictive and that’s why its hard to quit smoking

  5. Not all of it, you breathe in 1/4 of the smoke which contains dozens of chemicals.
In fact, the combustion makes the chemicals more harsh.
Stopping smoking is one of the hardest things to do. Because cigs are designed to be addictive.

  6. This has to be the dumbest question ever! all ciggerates are bad for you stop it ruins your health, cost too much money and stinks real bad!!!!!

  7. umm did you know there are over 200 poisions you suck down if you’re smoking one wittle cigarrete?
