What’s The Best Electronic Cigarette Model?
September 23rd, 2009 • Related • Filed Under
I’m trying to quit smoking and a friend suggested I try e-cigarettes (first time I heard of them). What’s the best model out there? Which ones are the most popular and why? What stores carry them or do I need to order online?
Thanks!!!

get a joye510 starter kit (black or white) and any accessories you want. one very nice accessory is the PCC (personal charging case) which recharges your e-cig while it’s in your pocket. Buy some e-juice so that you can refill your cartridges with any flavor you like! the kit comes with two e-cigs, 5 starter cartridges (which have varying amounts of nicotine), wall charger.
a lot of it depends on whether you want to refill your own cartridges (which is the cheaper way) or order pre-filled disposable cartridges.
i quit smoking 2 weeks ago, 2 days after i got my e-cig. you should really go to this forum, which i am a member of, and where i got all my info prior to ordering. the people are really nice and very helpful.http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/
p.s. some stores carry them but 9 times out of ten they are at least double the price + shipping online. plus, you will find a wider variety of e-cigs online.
hope this helps

I found this for another question, Hope it helps you too.
For those of you who have never tried or even seen a 3-piece electronic cigarette, here is some information as to how they work and the problems associated with them.
They consist of 3 parts.
* A filter cartridge with a tiny plastic piece inside it that holds a cotton-like sponge with the liquid nicotine solution in it. Some products go even further and require the user to place drops of the liquid nicotine solution into the filter or have them insert new nicotine cartridges into the filter itself.
* A steel tubular atomizer unit which the filter cartridge slides onto. This part of the product screws into the battery and gets used over and over again. This leads to unhealthy bacteria and eventually clogs, thereby reducing the amount of smoke volume. These atomizers must be replaced and cost money. This adds a hidden cost to the 3-piece product that is not mentioned upon purchase.
* A battery. Many of these batteries are heavier than the Green Smoke battery and do not last as long on each charge.
With Green Smoke you get a unique, easy 2-piece design that eliminates the headaches that are created with the 3-piece products and the problems associated with them.
* No worries about a dirty, clogged atomizer. Each cartridge comes with a fresh and clean atomizer built in!
* No worries about drops of liquid nicotine solution or placing small cartridges inside the filter.
* No worries about smoke volume being affected by a reusable atomizer. No worries about cleanliness.
* Easy on-the-go maintenance. Just take your cartridges and battery with you. Just screw in a new cartridge and you are good-to-go.
* With a built-in atomizer, you are ensuring that you will have a fresh experience every time that produces the most smoke volume in the industry.
Overall, if any of you have really had a close-up experience with 3-piece products, you would be SO excited about the differences between them and Green Smoke! This is why there is a price point difference. We make no apologies that our product is a bit more expensive. We are giving people a product that delivers on it’s expectations. Green Smoke produces the most smoke volume and is the easiest to maintain and use.
There are so many people out there who buy a cheaper 3-piece product only to be so disappointed. Our job is to keep people from going the “cheap route” and having a bad experience. Let us educate our customers through our blogs and websites as to the advantages of our advanced 2-piece design. If we do this, we will get more sales and keep many who would have tried the cheaper electronic cigarettes from thinking that electronic cigarettes “just don’t work well”.
The FAQ at this site is good too and I prefer Green Smoke too. Just better made.

The three most popular e-cigs seem to be the DSE-801, the DSE-901 and the Joye510. I own all of them (and many others) so the following is based on my personal experience.
The DSE-801, also known as a RN4072, ‘pen style’, ’standard’ or ‘classic’ is the original e-cig. Pros – Largest cartridges so they last longer than the others, produces the most amount of vapour, good flavour, decent throat hit. Cons – It’s significantly longer than a traditional cigarette, about twice the length of a king size (155mm) and looks like a pen.
The DSE-901 is also known as a RN4075 or ‘mini’. Pros – This e-cig gives the most flavour and kicks out a good amount of vapour, not much longer than a normal cigarette (119mm). Cons – Weakest throat hit of the three, smaller cartridges so they don’t last as long as the 801s.
The Joye510 is also known as a Dura, Titan and Yeti. Pros – Amazing throat hit, produces almost as much vapour as the 801, has a portable charging case, with the standard battery it is the smallest model (112mm) but there are two other, longer, batteries available that will give longer between charges.. Cons – The atomiser runs at a higher temperature than the other models so you don’t get as much taste and, if you’re a heavy user, you have to be careful that the cartridge doesn’t dry out.
The video reviews I’ve listed below will let you see the various models in use and give another view of the pros and cons of each.

I wouldn’t recommend Blu-cig unless you want to wait over a month for your order. Also would not recommend Greencig; I don’t trust companies that make fraudulent statements about their products.
The best deal at the moment seems to be from TECC who have a sale on until the end of the month.

US site http://www.theelectroniccigarette.com
Their sister site, Totally Wicked is the best place I’ve found for e-liquid and also have a sale on, though not everything is included in the sale.
UK site http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk
US site http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.com
If you use the code T4BE699 at checkout on either site you’ll get an extra 7% discount.
I am not affiliated in any way with any e-cig site or company, I’m just a happy customer who hasn’t had a cigarette in four months.

Hello Can88,
I would recommend GreenSmoke or blu cigs which are very popular. Both can only be purchased online and both offer a 30 day money back guarantee.
GreenSmoke creates lot’s of smoke and as a two piece ecig you get a new atomizer with every cartridge.
Blu cigs has a box which charges your ecig while out and about …
This buying guide will help you choose:

You should check out review sites or forums online. That’s how I ended up with BluCigs, which I’ve been happy with. I really found the following sites to be really helpful (the first is a forum, the second are review-style sites):

I would NOT go w/ Redsmoke, they are a RIP OFF COMPANY, they make you buy THEIR carts, and you can NOT re-fill them with your own liquid, this is a GREEDY HUNGRY COMPANY and I refuse to pay their ridiculous prices! You can buy the SAME THINGS DIRECT FROM CHINA from a dealer that ships to the USA public called heavengifts. They have 901 kits for only $26 bucks! IF you buy at RedSmokes, you might as well be buying analogs because they charge over $2 for a cart, and a cart only equals around 7 cigs, NO MATTER WHAT THEY CLAIM.
